I like to think of myself as an achiever; someone who has the vision and capacity to bring about the positive changes that are needed in our community. I am deeply concerned that humans are living far beyond the ability of our planet to support us. That is what drove me to put my hand up to be a Councillor 5 years ago and it is what drives me now to continue working hard and developing policies that will have lasting benefit for the Byron Shire.

Housing Security + -

As a society, we have a responsibility to provide homes for all community members, at all levels of income to ensure families, key workers and the vulnerable can access homes as a fundamental human right.

Ecological Regeneration + -

Caring for Country. Environmental protection, rehabilitation and enhancement are fundamental to all good planning decisions.

Connected Communities + -

All of our towns and villages deserve great public transport and cycleways so that we can better connect.

Valuing Culture + -

Arts, Culture and Creative Industries play a key role in building strong and cohesive communities. We will support and promote youth initiatives, cultural diversity and our indigineous community & heritage.

Sound Financial Management + -

Good governance is underpinned by a strong financial position that provides the investment in key infrastructure, programs and public facilities that our community deserves.

Byron Independents acknowledge the Traditional Custodian of the Bundjalung Nation, the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
